Opened in May of 1999 as The Birmingham Acupressure Centre, The Acupressure Centre has operated as the Pittsburgh regions only studio dedicated to the practice of Thai Massage and Shiatsu. Thai Massage is a blend of acupressure and assisted yogic stretching that guides the body through passive stretches and pressure along Sen pathways. You'll receive techniques using fingers, palms, elbows, knees and feet, and plan for about 1.5 hour or longer depending on the session selected.
Zen Shiatsu works by touch-based diagnosis and treatment along extended meridians using Kyo-Jitsu theory to address depletion and stagnation. You'll feel ongoing assessment through the session and plan for about 1 hour or longer depending on appointment length and your needs.
Luk Prakob -Thai Herbal Compress uses warmed herbal packs applied to the body to address conditions described in traditional Thai medicine. You'll experience targeted compress work paired with massage actions, and plan for about 1 hour or a duration you book.
Yes, we offer Thai Massage in several lengths so you'll choose a session that fits your time: plan for about 1 hour, 1.5 hour, 2 hour, or 3 hour sessions depending on the intensity and focus you want.
